3 fall tweaks for a stronger 2027
Nov 01, 2026This morning I stepped outside into that crisp fall air and just stopped. The trees were showing off. Gold, red, orange, every leaf letting go at its own pace.
And my mind went straight to business. (Of course it did.)
Fall is a season of change, and that’s exactly what makes it such a gift for your business. The pace shifts just enough to give you room to:
- Reflect on what worked this year
- Identify the one area you want to make stronger
- Create the changes you’d never have space for in your busiest season
Here’s what 30+ years of building businesses has taught me: the leaders who start strong in January are the ones who made small moves in October.
Start with a quick look back
Before you change anything, give yourself a few honest minutes with these:
- What worked so well this year that I want more of it?
- What felt harder than it needed to be?
- Where am I carrying too much?
Write your answers down. Researchers at HEC Paris and Harvard Business School found that employees who spent just 15 minutes reflecting on what they’d learned performed 23% better on their final assessment than those who didn’t. Reflection isn’t a break from the work. It is the work.
Now, here’s your next move. Three small tweaks you can start this week.
1. Let one thing go
Those trees aren’t losing their leaves. They’re releasing them on purpose, protecting their energy for the next season of growth. Your business needs the same.
- Pick one task, meeting, or commitment that drains more than it gives
- Delegate it, automate it, or drop it
- Notice the energy you get back
This is The Energy Equation in action. Your energy is a business asset. Protect it like one.
2. Tighten one system
Think back to your busiest stretch this year. Where did things slip? A follow up that fell through the cracks. Onboarding that lived only in your head. A process only you knew how to run.
- Choose the one system that cracked under pressure
- Build the simple fix now: a checklist, a template, a recorded walkthrough
- Hand it off and let it run
Fall gives you the space. Spring will thank you.
3. Put a Weekly CEO Meeting on your calendar
This is the habit that holds everything together. Thirty minutes, once a week, with the most important person in your business. You.
- Block it this week (Friday afternoon or Monday morning work beautifully)
- Look back: what worked, what didn’t
- Look ahead: your top three priorities for the week coming
This is where Prep, Pause, Presence comes to life. If 15 minutes made a 23% difference in that study, imagine what 30 intentional minutes a week can do for you.
The goal isn’t a perfect overhaul. It’s small, steady moves that compound. That’s Hustle to Harmony, and it’s how you build a business and a life that feel as good as they look.
Let’s map your next season together
If your reflection surfaced something bigger than a small tweak, let’s talk. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Bring what you noticed, and we’ll turn it into a clear plan for 2027.
Lead with Energy. Live with Intention.
