Q2 is your quarter — here's how to own it

Apr 19, 2026

You started this year with a vision. You had goals, energy, a plan — or at least the intention of one.

So… how's Q1 looking in the rearview mirror?

Here's the truth: Most people treat Q2 like a consolation prize. But the leaders who are actually building something? They treat it like the most powerful quarter of the year.

Because it is. You're past the post-holiday fog. The intentions have settled. Now you have enough data from your own life and business to get precise about where you're going.

Let's go! 🙌🏻

The Numbers Don't Lie

  • Businesses that set quarterly goals generate 31% more returns than those who review annually (Forbes)
  • People who write down their goals are 42% more likely to achieve them (Dominican University of California)
  • Accountability improves your chance of hitting a goal by up to 65% (Matthews, 2007)
  • And yet — 43% of women in senior leadership report burnout, versus 31% of men (McKinsey, 2024)

That last stat matters. Because strategy without alignment is just more hustle in a different outfit. Q2 isn't about doing more — it's about doing the right things so you can actually sustain the pace.

Your Q2 Framework: PREP. PAUSE. PRESENCE.

PREP — Get Clear Before You Get Busy

  • Audit Q1 honestly: what worked, what didn't, where you overextended
  • Name your top 3 priorities for Q2 — specific, measurable, tied to real outcomes
  • Block your most important time before everyone else fills your calendar

PAUSE — Protect Your Energy Like It's Revenue

  • Build weekly white space — actual thinking time, not email catch-up
  • Stop doing what only feels productive — busy isn't the same as effective
  • Create one non-negotiable recovery ritual and protect it like a client meeting

PRESENCE — Show Up for What Actually Matters

  • Lead your team with intention, not just reaction
  • Show up at home as a full person, not a depleted professional
  • Remember: the life you're building matters just as much as the business

You didn't build something this hard just to miss your own life in the process.

Start This Week

  1. Write your top 3 Q2 priorities — business AND personal
  2. Identify 3 things to stop doing or delegate
  3. Set one accountability structure — a coach, a peer, a circle
  4. Celebrate a Q1 win. Out loud. Seriously.

I believe in you — deeply! Q2 isn't a reset. It's a runway. Go build something worth it.
